With the number of orders going overseas growing by the month, we have taken the jump and have partnered with 3PL warehouses in Australia and the USA. Our Australian 3PL warehouse is centrally located in Syndey, which means shipping times should remain speedy for our Australian friends. The biggest gains will be felt by our American customers. Having our fenders and covers already in the USA will eliminate any tariffs/taxes/duties, which in the current climate, are not insignificant.
We are always looking at ways to get our products to our customers in a more timely and cost-effective way, and we think we’ve nailed it with this! So if you are in the USA, shopping for our fenders just got a whole lot cheaper!

We love a good round of R&D and this one has been a labour of love! After over a year of trialling several different fabrics and finishes and some extensive testing, we are thrilled to bring you our new covers – a beautiful black knitted polyester – tough and durable on the outside, sleek and easy to put on. And with the added benefit that you might even be able to use these on fenders that aren’t made by us (but really, who doesn’t have Hauraki Inflatables??). March is the perfect time for a boat show on the water, so we enjoyed taking a day to meet customers and check out the offerings at the Auckland Boat Show at the Auckland Viaduct. We are always busy the week of the show getting our inflatables, dock fenders and lines to customers so they can safely dock their vessels at their stands. Whether it’s boat builders or boat brokers, product salespeople or marinas, nothing beats meeting people face to face and seeing how they use our products and what new things they think would be useful for an ever changing world. And we always get a little smile when we see our fenders and products on display!
It’s that time of year again! December is always one of our busiest months, getting everyone’s boats ready for Christmas cruising and setting up berths for new boat owners. It’s a fun time of year, albeit a little stressful at times, but it’s very rewarding. After a winter of R&D, our Barrier Heavy Duty Dock Wheel is here! We have spent a lot of time to make sure we have everything right – an extra strong, galvanised bracket and bearing hub assembly, a 490mm diameter wheel on a galvanised rim with an inner tube (for better pressure control and longevity) and a smart, white PVC cover. Most importantly, it's made right here in New Zealand.

We’re always on the lookout for products that complement our range and these shock absorbers are here to help reduce shock load on cleats and provide stable mooring where boats may experience wave motion or be in more exposed parts of marinas. Shock absorbers are best used on shorter lines, such as stern lines for boats that go stern into their berth. Available in different sizes to suit boats up to 30T, enabling you to get the right size absorber for your size of boat.

It is with great pride that we announce a New Zealand first - the completion and opening of a new marina that is entirely fitted out with fenders - The Waiheke Marina based at Kennedy Point. Work began back in July 2022, when we were chosen to be the sole fender provider for the marina. This involved working with the marina to develop a fender fit for purpose for the marina and working with them to determine the initial fender layout. Once we had made all the fenders, we were out to Waiheke one day a week to install the fenders. As well as fenders, we also supplied spliced dock lines for each berth.
But the work continues, as we have now designed a deep transom fender, perfect for those with transoms lower than the wooden whaler in the marina. We have also designed and made a pole fender for the purpose of protecting vessels from oysters, rather than for traditional fendering purposes. The next stage of this project for us is working with berth holders to customise their berths so that everything is specific and customised to the boat in each berth.
